Grand Alumni Dinner?

December 27, 2012

Whither grandness?

No B.V. Doshi, no Amita Raje, no Leo, not many people from outside… For all the enthusiasm and a year’s worth of planning, I was hoping there will be more alumni over at the dinner than the 100 odd that showed up.
.

But I am keeping my hopes up for more people arriving as the day passes. Like many others, I had complained about the celebration being too long. (Read: No way to attend all the programmes planned)

After many years of random bad press and uninteresting bits coming out of strained reporting, newspapers have printed exhibition photographs and some positive news stories. Although many ‘news’ read like press-notes given out by someone at School, they at least show the real campus. So thanks, for moving away from stereotypes.

I am also happy because people from Bangalore, Mumbai and Delhi are planning to arrive on 27th evening (today), and 28th morning. Many are interested in the Rock show. They have focussed their schedules around the show, so as to be in Ahmedabad on 28th eve.

All in all, the mood is upbeat… Looking forward.
